Tips for framing drawings

Original drawings are more fragile than other art...

As an artist who produces works on paper, it is a big topic on my mind as well as my patrons.

The most important thing to keep in mind is to keep all things off the surface of the work. Though the work is fixed to help prevent smudging, it is really just a little less delicate.

That said the most important thing to consider is keeping glass and dust particles off the surface. The frame, mat board and glass are great for doing this. While there are a million different types of frames out there and I am by no means an expert but I have a couple of suggestions.
